(c) I heard about a correlation between subsequent male children having increasing probabilities of being homosexual, e.g. a mother's 2nd male child is more likely to be gay than her 1st male child, a 3rd male child is more likely to be gay than her 1st or 2nd male child. The hypothesis is that as resources become scarce, there's an evolutionary advantage to subsequent children not becoming parents themselves and rather becoming additional providers, e.g. rich uncles.

Also, the strength probably comes from the fact that it has a gas within rather than being evacuated so the evacuated version is likely much weaker.
